The Unitree R1 is a compact humanoid robot built for research, education, and interactive/entertainment applications. It combines 26 degrees of freedom with industrial-grade crossed roller bearings at the joints, giving it a fluid, agile range of motion for tasks like balancing, coordinated gestures, and dance routines.
Standing roughly 121 cm tall and weighing about 25 kg, the R1 is powered by an 8-core onboard computer and supports intelligent OTA (over-the-air) software updates, so its capabilities can be extended over time. It's designed as an open platform for robotics research, R&D, and demonstration use rather than continuous industrial duty.
