Flor de Manita (Devil's Hand Tree Flower)

A strange, claw-shaped bloom from the highland forests of the New World, named for its five curled red fingers — Flor de Manita, the little hand flower, plucked from the Devil's Hand Tree. Old healers ashore used it as a calming tonic for hearts that had seen too much storm and strife.

Traditional use: Flor de Manita (Chiranthodendron pentadactylon) is traditionally used in folk herbalism to support heart and circulatory comfort, ease nervous tension, and settle a queasy digestion.

How it's brewed: boil the dried flower in spring water, strain and drink.
