Stripped from a tree of the Mexican and Central American highlands, Cuachalalate bark has been chewed and brewed by shore-side healers for centuries to settle a troubled gut and clean a dirty wound.

Traditional use: Cuachalalate bark (Amphipterygium adstringens) is traditionally used in folk herbalism to support digestive comfort and gastric health, and applied topically to support skin healing.

How it's brewed: wash the bark, boil 20g in 700ml spring water for 20 minutes, cool, strain, and drink 2 cups daily. The bark can be reboiled up to 4 times.

This product is a traditional herbal item and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Always consult a healthcare professional before use, particularly if pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication.

Note to crew: we've not yet found a clean, unbranded photograph of Cuachalalate bark or its tree — this listing's image is flagged for manual review and replacement.

Ship's Terms: Shipments within the U.K sail via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Shipments beyond our shores sail via Royal Mail® International Tracked, 3-6 days to port. Take heed: this crew sails from the U.K. Any cargo bound for foreign shores may be boarded by customs and charged duties or taxes on arrival — that toll be yours to pay, not ours. Chart your own country's import rules via the Department for International Trade before ye order. On overcharges: should your bank statement show a sum heavier than the price at the till, know this be no trickery — the Pound often outweighs the Dollar and other currencies, so what lands on your statement may run higher than what you saw at checkout. Our thanks for your understanding, shipmate. Every delivery must be signed for upon arrival. No refunds be given once the goods have set sail.
