A reddish bark from the wooded interior, known in trade as Cancansa or Red Willow Bark, carried by many a Passamaquoddy healer and traded on to sailors seeking a tonic for their nerves and joints.
Traditional use: Cancansa bark is traditionally used in folk herbalism to support the immune system, joints and general wellbeing, and has traditionally been smoked in ceremonial blends to support respiratory comfort.
How it's brewed: rinse the bark, boil 20g in 600ml spring water for 15 minutes, cool, strain, and drink 2 cups daily. Can be re-boiled up to three times.
This product is a traditional herbal item and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Always consult a healthcare professional before use, particularly if pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication.
Note to crew: the exact botanical species sold under the trade name "Cancansa" is disputed between suppliers (it is sometimes linked to red osier dogwood bark, sometimes to other red barks) — both the species identification and this listing's image are flagged for manual review.
Ship's Terms: Shipments within the U.K sail via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Shipments beyond our shores sail via Royal Mail® International Tracked, 3-6 days to port. Take heed: this crew sails from the U.K. Any cargo bound for foreign shores may be boarded by customs and charged duties or taxes on arrival — that toll be yours to pay, not ours. Chart your own country's import rules via the Department for International Trade before ye order. On overcharges: should your bank statement show a sum heavier than the price at the till, know this be no trickery — the Pound often outweighs the Dollar and other currencies, so what lands on your statement may run higher than what you saw at checkout. Our thanks for your understanding, shipmate. Every delivery must be signed for upon arrival. No refunds be given once the goods have set sail.
